Afghan General Help Coordination Office

AGHCO (Afghan General Help Coordination Office) is a national reputed Non-Profit and Non-Government Organization, which was previously known as Afghan German Help Coordination office as it was initially founded and established in 1991 and since then the NGO has been active. In 1991 AGHCO was established to assist and secure the emergency, relief, rehabilitation operations and development activities in Afghanistan. This was done through direct cooperation and coordination with the government, UN, international organizations and local communities.

Our Area of Operations:

AGHCO work is currently operational in Afghanistan countrywide and covers most provinces of the country, from a Geographical point of view targets communities with high level of poverty & major number of vulnerable people, especially IDPs/ returnees, which have been affected by war, drought, poor economic condition and high rate of illiteracy, similarly such people also have poor health and environmental sanitation, lack of work opportunity, weak agricultural production and lack of potable water.

As a national non-profit and non-governmental organization, AGHCO partners with donors, UN agencies, non-governmental entities, CSOs, and public sector to carry out its mission. All of AGHCO’s activities-including operational, financial, management functions- are strictly non-governmental and non-profit. AGHCO is officially registered with ministry of Economics.

AGHCO, having certificate from the Government, is authorized to operate without restriction throughout the country, and has full authorization to seek financial resources and implement relief and rehabilitation projects across Afghanistan.
